This category of how to text is for horror movies. We’re ranking all the new horror movies of 2022 by Tomatometer, like Scream and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. We rank the movies Certified Fresh films first, followed by Fresh. This list of best 2022 will update each week another genre entry arrives in theaters or streaming, so check back for all the new scary movies!
Recently there were a few new releases, such as Pearl, the newest book in the X series. There was also Barbarian, a Certified Fresh movie directed by Zach Cregger from The Whitest Kids U’ Know. Speak No Evil is a satire between Dutch and Danes with razor-sharp teeth. Saloum is also a comedy mixed in with heist and action genres starring Nathalie Emmanuel. The Invitation is the Gothic vampire thriller starring Ryan Kwanten and Nathalie Emmanuel. There was also Orphan: First Kill, which was a decent prequel to Orphan. Finally, Glorious stars Ryan Kwanten and J-K Simmons with cosmic horror elements mixed in.

Scream
The film Scream, the fifth installment of the horror franchise, is set to be released in 2022. The film finds a new Ghostface killer hunting down victims with ties to the OG and is set twenty-five years after the original.
A few of the original cast are coming back to star in the thriller, but we’ll also meet new residents in Woodsboro. There will be Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Dylan Minette, Jack Quaid, and Jenna Ortega.
