COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) — A 22-year-old man is in custody following a shooting at a Council Bluffs bar early Sunday morning.
Ty’Jon Edwards of Missouri Valley, Iowa, faces two counts of attempted murder and one count of intimidation with a deadly weapon after his arrest. He was booked into Pottawattamie County Jail.
The incident unfolded just before 2 a.m. at O’Face bar, located near 24th Street and 9th Avenue. Council Bluffs Police responded to reports of gunfire and found that a man had discharged multiple rounds toward the bar and an occupied vehicle in the parking lot amid a disturbance as the establishment closed, according to a CBPD statement.
While no one was struck by bullets, one person in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and received medical attention.
Authorities identified Edwards as the suspect, and by noon on Monday, the Metro Fugitive Task Force located his vehicle near 16th Street and West Broadway in Council Bluffs. Officers conducted a traffic stop and apprehended Edwards without resistance.
