As All Elite Wrestling geared up for its highly anticipated Revolution pay-per-view on March 9, the company made one final stop before heading to Crypto.com Arena. The March 8 episode of AEW Collision delivered exciting action, featuring Hologram defeating Dralistico, Momo Watanabe securing a victory over Serena Deeb, and Daniel Garcia successfully defending his AEW TNT Championship against Lee Moriarty.

The buzz surrounding Revolution seemingly contributed to a significant boost in viewership for Collision. According to data from Nielsen, as reported by Wrestlenomics, the show averaged 363,000 total viewers. This marks a 30% increase compared to the March 1 episode, which went head-to-head with WWE’s Elimination Chamber and only managed 280,000 viewers. Additionally, this number aligns perfectly with the four-week trailing average of 363,000 viewers, indicating a return to form for AEW’s Saturday night program.

Even more encouraging was the performance in the key 18-49 demographic, where Collision scored a 0.10 rating. This represents a 67% surge from the previous week’s 0.06 and an 11% improvement over the trailing four-week average of 0.09. These strong numbers placed Collision among the top prime-time cable telecasts of the night, ranking approximately seventh overall. The top spot was claimed by UFC 313 prelims on ESPN, which posted a dominant 0.45 rating.

Looking ahead, AEW has yet to announce any matches for the upcoming March 15 edition of Collision, which will mark the company’s return to Las Vegas, Nevada. However, AEW fans have some intriguing broadcasts on the horizon. Notably, the weekend of March 22-23 will see Collision air in a unique two-part format, with one hour airing on Saturday and the second hour on Sunday. This scheduling move coincides with TNT’s coverage of the NCAA basketball tournament, providing AEW with an opportunity for a strong lead-in audience.

Stay tuned for more updates on AEW programming and viewership trends as the road beyond Revolution continues.
