Today’s Rumor:
– Ronda Rousey may be leaving WWE to make a comeback in the UFC, according to the latest rumors. There is “no truth” to the claim, however, as reported by MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, that Rousey will be returning to UFC.
– WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is scheduled to defend his title against Finn Balor at SummerSlam 2023, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.
– According to Meltzer’s sources, Warner Bros. Discovery has “been talked about for a while” but is still not a done deal in wanting AEW to increase its PPV schedule.
– According to Meltzer, even though Brutus and Julius Creed lost a Loser Leaves Town match in NXT, they will not be promoted to the WWE main roster. According to Meltzer, The Creeds returned to NXT on this week’s broadcast, but were disguised as members of The Schism in order to spy on Ivy Nile in the backstage area.
– According to Fightful’s sources, many AEW employees saw the decision to provide a list of prohibited movements as a necessary “tightening of the screws” as the firm continues to develop. Wrestlers who break the rules will reportedly be penalized, according to PW Insider.
