Sonjay Dutt is returning to in-ring competition for the first time in almost 5 years; he will be competing for All Elite Wrestling.
One time IMPACT X Division Champion has not competed since December 2017, even going so far as to say there was “zero chance” he would make an in-ring return on an edition of the AEW Unrestricted podcast.
On the next edition of Rampage, Sonjay Dutt appears after his unofficial retirement, with Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh to face the Best Friends, Trent Beretta. Chuck Taylor, and Orange Cassidy. This match was taped following the Fight For The Fallen Dynamite special on Wednesday night.
In a recent podcast discussing his potential return to the ring from an unsigned status, former IMPACT known as Ethan Page noted that he would only wrestle again if he felt healthy enough.
“Unlikely. There will be a zero chance that I will be returning to the ring. Let’s put it like this, if I was fixed physically if my body was 100% that would be something I would consider. But until that happens, there is no way I’m getting in the ring I’m not doing it.”
Sonjay Dutt last wrestled on December 28, 2017 according to records. He had run in IMPACT Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and many others previously.
