Although AEW has yet to return to Philadelphia, the Wrestling Observer is revealing when the company will be bring their next show back to Philadelphia. The demand for wrestling in Philadelphia has been consistently made clear by fans worldwide.
Philadelphia fans won’t have to wait long, as Tony Khan will take his company to the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia on Wednesday, September 28th for a taped and live episode of “AEW Dynamite” and an episode of “AEW Rampage.” Tickets go on sale this Friday.
AEW will be returning to Philadelphia this year to create the second episode of AEW’s “Dynamite” later this month with a ladder match between Sammy Guevara and Scorpio Sky. That night, September 10th, will be the fourth time AEW has been in Philadelphia for live professional wrestling events
Announcement of this show has brought great news for AEW as the venues and dates have been confirmed. It is scheduled to go on in these cities from September on:
- Wednesday, July 27: Dynamite/Rampage at DCU Center in Worcester, MA
- Wednesday, August 3: Ohio State women’s basketball drops 141-99 loss to Georgia
- Rampage/Battle of the Belts III takes place at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI on Friday, August 5.
- Wednesday, August 17: Dynamite/Rampage at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia
- The Cleveland Athletic Club hoops demolition
- Friday, September 2: Rampage at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois
- Sunday, September 4: All Out at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois
- Wednesday, September 7: Dynamite/Rampage at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY
- Wednesday, September 14: Dynamite/Rampage at MVP Arena in Albany, New York
- Wednesday, September 21: Grand Slam Dynamite/Rampage at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York
- Wednesday, September 28: Dynamite/Rampage at Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA
Fans attending the show in Philadelphia this week may see CM Punk and Kenny Omega return to AEW’s All Out event, as both of these stars are set to appear on the September 4 show. Bryan Danielson is making his long-awaited returns this week on “Dynamite”.
AEW has yet to take their product outside of America in terms of live shows, though they do plan on visiting Canada and the UK in the near future.
