In this past weekend’s news, it reports that Buddy Matthews is leaving AEW, while other reports claim he and fellow House of Black star Malakai Black are hoping to re-join WWE in the future. However, Matthews on social media recently took to saying “fake” over and over, taking a photo of himself from Seinfeld. The particular claim or claims Matthews is disputing not specifice.
Questions about Matthews future arose following his recent appearance at a Fight Life Pro Wrestling event, where he made a promo about needing to take time off from the ring.
“Unfortunately, I, like some of the other members, need to go away for a while,” the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion said. “I need to recalibrate. I need to figure out some things. As my brother Malakai once said, this isn’t goodbye, this is ‘See you later.'”
This message is similar to the recent comments made by Black last month after he was reportedly given a release from Tony Khan. Fightful reports that an altercation between Matthews and The Great Muta during AEW’s “AEW Rampage” took place last week and was done to write him off of television, with one source believing that this was his final night in AEW. None of these claims have been confirmed yet.
Black releases from the company, apparently with a stipulation, and it looks like Matthews writte off of TV this week. There are no other concrete details right now, but AEW have yet to confirm or deny the reports.
Meanwhile, the third member of House of Black and AEW has announced to remain with the stable via social media. The last member of a stable, Julia Hart, has retweeted King’s tweet by simply saying “Bless.”
