Afiya Khan, a 17-year-old arm wrestling enthusiast from Pakistan, has bagged three silver medals in the National Armwrestling Championship. The championships were held at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi. Afiya had to beat opponents of different weights and age groups to secure her place in the final. She is now vying for a gold medal in the World Armwrestling Championships, which will be held in Poland this year.

Afiya Khan bagged three silver medals in the national arm wrestling championship held recently. The 20-year-old wrestler from Uttar Pradesh emerged as the champion in the Women’s Over 50 category with a total of 348 kg, beating her nearest rival by 38 kg. She also won silver in the Women’s Under 50 category with a total of 298 kg and bronze in the Women’s Open category with a total of 317 kg.
