According to Dave Meltzer, the Riddle vs Nakamura match is not going to take place at Sunday’s Hell in a Cell event.
This week on WWERaw, AJ Styles and Nakamura won a match via disqualification. Jimmy Uso hit Riddle with his scooter, which made Nakamura and Styles the number one contender for the tag team titles. But as of now, that match is not taking place this Sunday.
The upcoming WWE Money In The Bank will take place on July 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. It moved to a smaller venue after attracting low ticket sales due to the previously advertised WWE event taking place at Allegiant Stadium, which had caused many uncertainties.
Had it been reported that Roman Reigns would be defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle at Money In The Bank and then Randy Orton at WWE SummerSlam, McIntyre is now being scheduled for Clash At The Castle.
With his recent lower workload, rumors have arisen that Reigns may not be appearing at the Money In The Bank event. However, WWE has said that he still could appear due to the venue change. This has left fans skeptical of the match between him and Riddle.
If Lesnar and the Hardy Boyz fought at Money in the Bank, then both teams would be afforded the opportunity to fight for their respective tag team titles, who were injured in matches against The Usos. Rick Boogs and Randy Orton are currently on the shelf.
There is no wrestling match scheduled for this weekend, but things in WWE can always change.
