A brand split is not going away anytime soon, despite the title merger that occurred last month. WWE sources indicate WWE has no plans to end the brand split for now.
There have been rumors in circulation that the WWE is going to merge separations. However, reports from the scene suggest otherwise. Vince McMahon could change his mind about doing this again, but at the time of writing that isn’t what he planned.
Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar
At WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns united both the WWE and UWN titles by defeating Brock Lesnar. The company is now moving forward with the unification of the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania Backlash when The Usos face RK-Bro.
On the WrestleMania Backlash event, the update notes that the tribal chief is expected to headline the event. As of right now, there is no match announced for this event and Roman Reigns attacked Shinsuke Nakamura on the post-WrestleMania episode of SmackDown.
Roman Reigns vs Drew Mclntyre
Roman will defend his WWE UK tour title against Drew McIntyre in the main event match on the WWE UK Tour, with the next card expected to feature AJ Styles facing Edge in a rematch from WrestleMania 38.
The WrestleMania Backlash Premium Live Event will be held on Sunday, May 8th from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The announced card includes a win by either side of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team’s battle and two singles bouts: one between SmackDown champions The Usos and the RAW tag team champions RK-Bro and another between Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
