Vince McMahon spoke out about the Money in the Bank Winner being given a title shot at WWE Wrestlemania according to Dave Meltzer, the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.
The first time the new advertisement was shown at WWE‘s Wrestlemania Backlash, it featured Cody Rhodes talking to the camera and saying a line that he said caused a lot of confusion. The advertisement features Cody Rhodes speaking to the camera and uttering a line that has caused a lot of confusion.
“One lucky male and female Superstar will win the chance to main event WrestleMania,” Rhodes claims in the promo.
Vince McMahon made the decision to include this verbiage.
Despite confusion over how WWE created this promo and the fact that they continue airing it, there are no plans to alter the briefcase design from previous years. According to reports, the creative team was assured that everything will remain the same. Although things may change between now and then it is likely that the briefcase will still have the same quality as before.
Money in the Bank Winner traditionally gets an entire year to cash in. You can cash it in at any time and any place. This includes live events, episodes of Raw, SmackDown, and all major premium live events. This has never been limited to one night as it takes away the mystery.
This includes WWE Wrestlemania. Should the winner want to keep the briefcase, this will be included. Seth Rollins is the only wrestler to cash in on The Grandest Stage Of Them All. That was WWE Wrestlemania 31 when he interjected himself in Brock Lesnar’s match against Roman Reigns to become champion.
The WWE Money In The Bank event will take place at Allegiant Stadium Las Vegas on July 2. However, the premium live event has not yet been announced as WWE must first pass through Hell In A Cell.
