Becky Lynch explains why she is not at her emotional best after Wrestlemania.
Lynch has not competed on WWE television since losing the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, and she is having trouble getting back in the ring without her prized possession. Lynch got used to being a champion that she isn’t ready to face the WWE Universe without.
On Sunday night, Lynch posted a video from backstage at the WWE Live Event in Syracuse, NY. Lynch explained why she was absent from the broadcast in an unusual display of vulnerability.
She said:
It’s been three years since the last time I walked out of RAW without my championship. I’m not ready to walk out of Monday Night Raw without my championship.
Lynch did not manage to get to the top of WWE without being resourceful. She revealed that she had a plan in place to make things right – before her Sunday night showdown against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley, she continued:
I always have a plan, that’s why I’m here in Syracuse because I’m going to win back my championship. I will walk out tomorrow on Monday Night RAW as your new Women’s Champion.
Becky Lynch showed no fear in challenging for WWE’s Women’s Championship. She replaced the title on her NXT debut and has retained it against all odds since then.
