William Morrissey is best known for his tenure with WWE, where he performed under the ring name Big Cass (a shortened version of his former ring name Colin Cassady). He is also known for his stint in Impact Wrestling where he performed under the ring name W. Morrissey.
In the WWE, he became famous for his partnership with Enzo Amore, whom he teamed with from 2013 to 2017. Together, they won the NXT Year-End Award for Tag Team of the Year in 2015. He was brought up to Raw alongside Enzo Amore the day after WrestleMania 32. He was later moved to the SmackDown brand, where he had a brief feud with Daniel Bryan, before being released by the company in June 2018. After leaving WWE, he resumed teaming with Amore (now known as ZnO) on the independent circuit.
William Morrissey (born William Morrissey on August 16, 1986) is an American actor and producer. After graduating from high school with academic honors in 2004, he attended Queens College, where he studied English literature. He made his professional debut before reaching the age of 20 when he worked as a personal assistant and production assistant for various directors. In 2011, he began to produce his own independent dramas, including More Than Gay and Shameless NYC.
Independent circuit (2018–2021)
On August 2, Big Time Wrestling announced that Morrissey (now known as Big Cazz) would make his wrestling return after the 90-day no-compete clause in his WWE contract expired on September 21. His first appearance occurred at a BTW match on October 5, cutting a promo, and hostilely addressing the fans, thus cementing him as a heel. On December 1, Big Cass participated in a House of Hardcore match under the name Big Ca$$, briefly losing to MVP. He made an appearance at House of Hardcore 52 on December 8 and ended with a seizure because of issues with personal health.
On April 6, 2019, Morrissey and partner Enzo Amore appeared at a G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden. The two assaulted tag team wrestlers during an ROH and New Japan Pro-Wrestling bout. It was later revealed that the incident was the result of a shoot and the duo was never booked for any following shows.
On June 15, 2019, Morrissey made his debut with Northeast Wrestling (NEW), which was accompanied by Arndt, who had now changed her ring name to now. With a hand-picked roster, Caz issued an open challenge for anyone on the roster and fought Jon Moxley in the main-event match and lost. Morrissey returned to action on September 22, 2019, at SWE Clash in Canton.
