The big E used his Twitter this morning to provide an update on his recovery.
He needs to spend another 4-6 weeks in a neck brace and avoid fusion surgery, which the former WWE Champion followed up by saying he’s not healing as well as expected.
For those desirous of an update, my C1 apparently isn’t healing optimally. I’ll spend another 4-6 weeks in a brace in hopes that I can avoid a fusion. But don’t you fret! I’ve got a tremendous support system & what shall be shall be.
Big E has a fractured neck, but he’s not going to need surgery. His C1 and C6 vertebrae are fractured, but Big E is expected to recover completely within 8-12 weeks.
Big E uploaded a video of himself walking the following week after his neck fracture, which was considered a positive step in his recovery process by neurologists. At the end of March, Big E revealed that he dodged paralysis, stroke, or death thanks to a missed disc fragment pressing on his spinal cord.
