I wouldn’t say it was an in-ring return, but I don’t think I ever really left the industry,” says Hogan. “I haven’t formally announced my retirement from wrestling yet, so any time I make my way back into the ring is just like before.
Booker didn’t mind the 10-man tag being applied to him, saying that he feels great physically. He said he immediately jumped into his jacuzzi after the show and focused on the salt water and other possible solutions that would help alleviate some of the pain. Booker took a little bit to rest before flying back out for more shows on Sunday.
Booker T often receives the question, “Are you ever going to wrestle full-time again?” from fans because his last WWE matches happened in 2012. Since then, he has just wrestled for ROW, and one PCW match during 2016. Booker, however, says he is happy with his current role.
Booker said, “I have no desire to have any part of the WWE. And if they ask me back for more money, I’ll return. But for Reality Of Wrestling, my company I built from scratch… It meant a lot to me that the wrestling community responded and saw it as not only a different show from the WWE but just an independent show. It makes the world see the Reality of Wrestling in a more positive light.” Booker begins by saying he has no itch to scratch with the saga surrounding his WWE departure last year; implying that he does not want to get back into wrestling with any competing company.
Booker’s recent ROW appearance likely helped fuel the old speculation about Booker and his older brother, Stevie Ray, ultimately running a tag team match against FTR. The possibility of him wearing the Harlem Heat gear indicates that he is getting closer to reaching that goal.
Booker says, “I never say no to anything.” The dream match would be any type of match with a retired Chris Jericho. Booker has seen Cash Wheeler and Harwood recently, and they both have been performing well and understand the meaning of performing. They would still have the opportunity for a match if it was discussed.
“My brother is definitely in another zone right now,” he said. “It might be me and Goldust before it would be me and Stevie Ray. It might happen, never say never.”
