There are many people like Kayden Arliss in Lake Wales. And she’s formerly on her way to achieving that thing.
She inked her letter of intent in May, accepting a scholarship to East Tennessee State University at Lake Wales High School. Her family is formerly on the road to Johnson City, Tennessee. Having the financial means not holding me back from growing my love for the sport, Arliss expressed her excitement and gratefulness. I knew I had the mindset and determination to negotiate my pretensions, and I’m a proud pirate because of the family and coaching staff who supported me throughout my trip.”
Tashawn Williams, Lake Wales’ head toning trainer, said he couldn’t be happier.
” I’m extremely proud of my daughter,, and I can not talk enough about how hard she has worked, and how important time she spends perfecting her chops,” Williams said.” She has been training twice a day since she began her high academy career, and she has the potential to become an elite athlete in the future.” As a trainer, I’m veritably proud of her because she’s a trendsetter and getting a toning education will let other youthful women know that these openings are available.

She won the USAW Florida state crown a many weeks ago as a result of her determination, which makes Williams proud of her. In that day’s competition, Arliss won by a periphery of 77 KG( kilograms) 169 pounds and 86 KG( kilograms) 189 pounds, both of which aren’t particular records for her.
My platoon and I were prostrating a huge loss at this match, which was mentally and emotionally challenging for me. Although there were numerous obstacles in my way to winning that day, I ever managed to overcome them all and win. As a lifter, hitting these figures on this day felt inconceivable, as they were technically sound, and it was a major stepping gravestone.”
Weightlifting is sparked by softball
At first, Arliss weightlifted to get stronger for softball.
While she formerly had decent strength as a middle academy softball player, her father, David Arliss, bought her a toning set. She toyed around with it before taking it seriously, which led her to gain strength.
During her beginner time( 2019) of high academy at Lake Wales, she joined the toning platoon.

I enjoyed the energy of the platoon, the atmosphere created by the trainers, and the love we all participated when I walked into the weightroom,” Arliss said.
While she endured toning for the first time in high academy in the fall of 2019, she also enjoyed playing softball. On a play in the outfield in December of 2020, when she was running backwards to track down a cover ball before jumping and landing on her bases, she tore her left ACL on a trip platoon known as the Tampa Heatwave.
Despite this, she trained her upper body while in recovery, but she chose not to continue playing softball.

I discovered my love of lifting during my recovery. I could not stay to get back to lifting,( as) it was all I could suppose about,” Arliss said.” Getting back onto the platform drove me, to strive throughout my recovery.”
After a remarkable recovery, she won The Ledger’s Girls Weightlifter of the Year award in 2023. Both at the Polk County match and at the 2A- 11 quarter match, she was the top lifter among all lifters in the Olympic and Traditional competitions. She eventually won both competitions and finished as indigenous runner- up and state runner- up in both competitions.
She said she just wants to grow despite being theNo. 5 inferior in 71KG heading to East Tennessee State.
Her major will be kinesiology with a focus on exercise wisdom.
My thing is to learn the wisdom behind erecting muscles to transition it into my lifting,” Arliss said ETSU’s trainers and teammates are veritably smart and determined, and I’m looking forward to the future.”
