Introduction to Haftor Bajornsson and his powerlifting career

Haftor Bajornsson is a powerlifter from Iceland who holds several world records in the sport. Bajornsson began his career in 2011, and has since competed in numerous international competitions. In 2015, he won the gold medal in the 105+ kg category at the World Championships, and also set a new world record in the squat with a lift of 477.5 kg. He followed this up with another gold medal and world record at the 2016 European Championships, squatting 486 kg. Most recently, Bajornsson won the 2017 Arnold Classic with a total of 2,064 kg, becoming the first ever lifter to surpass the 2,000 kg mark in this competition.

Bajornsson’s success can be attributed to his tremendous strength and size; at 6’9″ and over 400 lbs, he is one of the largest athletes in powerlifting. His training regimen is also incredibly demanding, often involving multiple sessions per day. In addition to his physical gifts, Bajornsson is also known for his mental toughness; he once said that “pain is just weakness leaving the body.” This mindset has served him well throughout his career, as he has continued to push himself to new limits on the platform.

As one of the most successful powerlifters in history, Haftor Bajornsson has cemented his place among the all-time greats of the sport.

Recent Record Breakings

Haftor Bajornsson’s recent powerlifting triumphs have been nothing short of amazing. The Icelandic strongman has set new world records in the squat, deadlift, and total weight lifted in just the past few months.

Bajornsson’s first record came in June, when he squatted an incredible 1,041 pounds (472 kg). This broke the previous world record of 1,025 pounds (465 kg), which had been held by American powerlifter Mike Burke.

Just one month later, Bajornsson struck again, this time setting a new world record in the deadlift. He lifted an astonishing 925 pounds (419 kg), breaking the previous record of 903 pounds (410 kg), set by Russian lifter Dmitry Kabanov.

In September, Bajornsson capped off his trifecta of world records with a new record in the total weight lifted category. He lifted an incredible 2,266 pounds (1,022 kg), surpassing the previous record of 2,204 pounds (997 kg), set by American lifter Ed Coan.

Training Regimen of Haftor Bajornsson

Haftor Bajornsson is a world-renowned powerlifter whose recent successes have made him a household name. His training regimen is intense and includes a variety of exercises that work different muscle groups.

Bajornsson begins his day with a light breakfast followed by a two-hour weightlifting session. He starts with warm-up exercises and then moves on to heavier weights. He takes short breaks in between sets to rest and recover. After his weightlifting session, he eats a hearty lunch and then takes a nap.

In the afternoon, he goes for a run or does some other form of cardio exercise. This helps him stay in shape and maintain his endurance. He also uses this time to focus on his breathing, which is an important part of powerlifting. In the evening, he eats dinner and then relaxes for the rest of the night.

Bajornsson’s training regimen is grueling, but it has clearly paid off.
