Angelo Dawkins, one-half of the electrifying tag team The Street Profits, recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of his partner, Montez Ford, pursuing a singles career in WWE. Having been tag team partners since 2016, Dawkins and Ford have achieved tremendous success, capturing RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Tag Team Championships, earning them the adoration of fans worldwide.
In an interview on The 513 Podcast, Dawkins expressed his contentment with continuing their journey as a tag team but emphasized that he would never stand in the way of Ford’s aspirations to become a world champion in the singles division. Dawkins revealed Ford’s childhood dream of holding prestigious titles like the WWE Championship, and he wholeheartedly supports his partner in that pursuit:
“We just wanna go out there and be the best that we can be,” Dawkins stated. “I know he’s wanted to do it since he was a little kid, be like a singles champion and WWE Champion since he was a little kid. Me? I’m just happy to be Tag Team Champions as well. But, I mean, I ain’t gonna hold you, sometimes I do look at those [world] titles and I’m like, ‘I can win that.'”
The Street Profits have been absent from WWE television since their loss to Pretty Deadly on the June 23 episode of SmackDown. However, intriguing developments may lie ahead for Dawkins and Ford.

On July 14, The Street Profits seemingly forged a new alliance with Bobby Lashley on SmackDown. Dawkins and Ford awaited The All Mighty’s arrival in a car park before joining him in a limousine. When questioned about this on-screen association with Lashley, Dawkins playfully kept the details under wraps, teasing fans to stay tuned for what’s to come:
“Hey, man, you know, that’s G14 classified, you know what I’m saying? You just have to tune in, you know?”
Notably, The Street Profits had previously teamed up with Lashley to secure a victory against Austin Theory, Chad Gable, and Otis on the July 4, 2022, episode of RAW. However, they did not officially solidify their alliance as a permanent stable.
As the future unfolds for Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, the WWE Universe can expect excitement, surprises, and possibly even a new direction for one of the most beloved tag teams in the company’s history. The Street Profits have already etched their names in championship glory, and with the potential for Montez Ford to pursue singles success, their journey promises to be an exhilarating one to follow.
