Before Jimmy Uso got into the match, Roman Reigns was likely to lose his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Jey Uso.
In the main event of the 36th WWE SummerSlam, the “Biggest party of the Summer,” Jimmy Uso turned on his brother Jey Uso in a stunning plot change that cost him the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns. On Saturday, August 5, the latest part of the ongoing Bloodline story, also called the “Bloodline Civil War,” happened at the Ford Field in Detroit.
Roman Reigns went into SummerSlam as the current, defending, and undisputed WWE Universal Champion. He had a huge job to do. He had to protect both his title as champion and his title as “Tribal Chief” against Jey Uso in a “Tribal Combat” to end the show in the Motor City.
In the beginning of the very intense fight, the kendo stick was a huge equalizer for Roman and Jey. After hitting each other with their best moves, the two former Bloodline members kept coming close to falling.

Then Solo Sikoa got into the championship match and knocked out Jey Uso before Roman Reigns hit the Street Champion by accident with a spear. It let the challenger use the situation to his advantage and hit his opponent with one of his signature moves.
