Once Chad Gable got rid of his “Shorty-G” act, he really started to do better on WWE TV. Since then, he has fought at a level of technical skill that only a small number of people can reach. Even Kurt Angle, who is in the WWE Hall of Fame, is a huge fan of Chad Gable. It seems like he remembered when Randy Orton was screaming so hard before a fight that his eyes were bloodshot.
The former Shorty G was doing a good job as Alpha Academy’s boss, and he had a number of good fights over the past year. Together with Otis, he won tag team gold and got many other awards over the years.
Back in the beginning of 2022, Team RK-Bro and the Alpha Academy were in a fight. Riddle and Randy were the RAW Tag Team Champions, and Gable and Otis were chasing them down quickly. Gable talked about what he had learned from Randy Orton on After the Bell.
Chad Gable thought back to the part of The Spelling Bee where The Viper challenged him. Although it was a ridiculous angle, he claimed that Orton was always in character and that his eyes were bloodshot from screaming prior to the bout.

“Everybody puts Randy over. I’ve done it before, I know, he’s the greatest of all time. But man, playing off of him in the ring. There was one moment specifically, I remember. It was after the spelling bee when they got the best of us. I spelled a word wrong and Randy challenged me to a match. I looked in his eyes and he was so in the moment, like in character but in the moment. He was screaming at me like he’s challenging Chad Gable. The veins in his neck and his eyes were bloodshot from screaming at me. There was sweat dripping down. It was so surreal. He looked so pumped to go into this match. He was so invested in this storyline.”
Randy Orton is also in good mood even though he is not on WWE TV. Ringside News said that Randy Orton is planning to come back to the squared circle, but it might take a while. When The Apex Predator will eventually return to the ring and triumph once again remains to be seen.
