After WWE SummerSlam in Detroit, Roman Reigns could be gone for a long time. Since WrestleMania 38, Reigns’ contract has been changed a lot. Dates and events have been changed. The Tribal Chief only goes on half or less of the dates he used to go on when he was getting more and more popular.
At the moment, we see Reigns on an average of one or two of the four SmackDowns that air each month. Even on those shows, he mostly does promos and backroom bits that don’t involve much work in the ring. Roman only wrestles at important times.
Roman Reigns will face his cousin Jey Uso for the Undisputed Universal Championship in a Tribal Combat match at SummerSlam. Based on what has been said, this match at SummerSlam seems to be the end of The Bloodline story.
Payback and Fastlane are the next two PLEs for WWE. As of this writing, Xero News says that Roman Reigns is not likely to be at Payback. His place in the Fastlane is also up in the air. It looks like The Tribal Chief is going to take a long break until Crown Jewel and Survivor Series.

Gunther is the Intercontinental Champion, but Roman Reigns isn’t someone he would love to face.
Since he became The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns’ popularity has gone up a notch. Reigns is on many superstars’ Mount Rushmore lists because his work and successes have made him one of the best in the business. Gunther, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to want to fight him.
The Ring General told in an exclusive chat that Reigns is not his dream opponent. He said that the main reason was that they came from different places.
“I wouldn’t consider Roman as a dream opponent,” Gunther said. “I think we are two completely different wrestlers. He’s obviously somebody that came up through first of all his family history, but then he got basically developed or trained in the WWE system and got brought up through that.”
Gunther is ready to face Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam to protect his Intercontinental Championship. He is the Intercontinental Champion who has held that title the longest in this century. The Intercontinental Championship seemed less important over the past ten years. But The Ring General has brought it back to where it should have been all along.
