Even though AEW hasn’t made it public yet, some performers will now call “Collision” their home. Since the Saturday night show started, CM Punk has become a big part of it, and he allegedly wants Rush to join him and the other so-called “Colliders.”
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter says that Punk has backed the Mexican star in public. For example, after Rush signed his new AEW deal, Punk posted a photo of him on Instagram with the caption “Collider” above it. It looks like the ex-WWE Superstar is a big fan of Rush, and it would make sense for the story to have him on the show.
Since June, when he went back into action, Andrade El Idolo has only been fighting on “Collision.” As of this writing, he is in a fight with the House of Black, and El Idolo is clearly outnumbered in that fight. Rush is El Idolo’s friend and often works with him in tag teams. So, he might be added to “Collision” to even the odds and maybe get Bandido or Dralistico to join them in trying to win the AEW World Trios Championships.
Before he re-signed with AEW, WWE was allegedly interested in Rush. But he was told that the company didn’t want to pay him the money that would have been needed because he would have been used on “WWE NXT.” AEW, on the other hand, was ready to pay him well, and the rest is history. Because of this, WWE never really made him an offer.
