Welcome to another AEW News Roundup, where we tell you about some of the most important news from the land of the Elite.
The first story we’re going to tell is about CM Punk. The divisive former WWE Champion, who has recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons, has now demanded the dismissal of a very well-known figure in the independent scene. In the second story, we’ll look at what Danielle Moinet, who used to be known as WWE’s Summer Rae, had to say about her relationship with Miro (formerly known as Rusev).
The third and final story is about a young, rising star who wants WWE Hall of Famer Edge to join AEW and team up with Christian again.

#3: CM Punk wants Will Ospreay to lose his job.
Over the last month, CM Punk has done a lot of things to upset people. There have been rumors that Punk has been making people mad and showing off his power now that he is seen as a boss in the locker room.
Fans have been quite critical of the’real’ AEW World Champion for renaming the title that was taken away from him, and he has used the same reasoning to refer to Will Ospreay. Ospreay changed the IWGP United States title to show the flag of the United Kingdom instead of the American flag.
Punk used Instagram to write:
“Bruv, very disrespectful to just change the belt like this. You cannot just do things like this, this isn’t a real belt now I hope [Antonio] Inoki fires you.”
Antonio Inoki died in October 2022, so it was clear that Punk was kidding.

#2: Danielle Moinet wants to finish a love storyline with Miro
After her conversation with Chris Van Vliet, Danielle Moinet (also known as Summer Rae) broke the internet. The former WWE diva was in a famous love triangle with Rusev, Lana, and Dolph Ziggler, but the storyline was cut short when TMZ broke the news that Rusev and Lana were getting married in the middle of the plot.

She said in the interview that she was unhappy with how the storyline ended, and she recently retweeted a video on Twitter that showed a montage of her and Miro, with Cody Rhodes saying, “I have to finish the story.”
Even though this isn’t likely to happen right now because Miro is in AEW and Lana and Danielle aren’t current wrestlers, it will be interesting to see if it ever does.
Anthony Bowens wants Edge to show up in AEW for the first time.
Anthony Bowen of The Acclaimed has said many times how much he likes Edge, and he recently said it again on 101.9 Kiss FM. Bowens also talked about a lot of different things and said that he wanted the Rated-R Superstar to come to AEW and reconnect with Christian so that the two teams could wrestle each other.
Bowens told:
“Considering I just said Edge & Christian, I think Edge. I would love to see him come over and reunite with Christian. Let’s have a feud forever. Five-second scissor.”
How Edge ends his wrestling career is still up in the air.
