As we said, WWE is reportedly in talks with Take-Two Interactive, the parent company for “WWE 2K” series developer Visual Concepts, to introduce Cody Rhodes into the game as a DLC character in WWE 2K22.

According to Sports Gamers Online, the WWE planned for Rhodes to return in a pre-WrestleMania 38 DLC package and unveiled their idea in February.
The WWE did not approve a Rock-John Cena storyline. Someone close to the developmental team suggested that WWE tried to make the Rock face-off with John Cena, but the idea was immediately shot down.
When I heard that the cover of WWE2K23 is going to be Cody as The American Nightmare, I was disappointed because there wasn’t enough time to do it justice.
