An American actor and former professional wrestler, Dave Bautista was born on January 18, 1969. As a wrestler, he was a part of WWE from 2002 to 2010, in 2014, and as a final-round competitor in 2018. In addition to wrestling, he has a successful acting career, most notably as Marvel’s Drax the Destroyer.
Since 2002, Batista has been a household name and a six-time World Champion, winning the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice. He is one of only three men (along with Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan) to have held the World Tag Team Championship three times and the WWE Tag Team Championship once.
Bautista won the 2005 Royal Rumble match and went on to headline WrestleMania 21, one of the five highest-grossing pay-per-view events in professional wrestling history. During August 2012, Bautista signed a contract with Classic Entertainment & Sports to compete in mixed martial arts (MMA). He won his only MMA fight by technical knockout in the first round on October 6, 2012.
