Devon Larratt defeats Michael Todd (Monster) in the world’s strongest arm competition and it is regarded as the biggest Arm Wrestling match in the history of the sport.
The match took place at the Conrad Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and is sanctioned by the World Armwrestling League. The match was streamed live through Coresportstv.
Devon Larratt won by unanimous decision, which was signified by a total shutout (5-0). The Canadian is the strongest Arm Wrestler in the world.
With an infectious pandemic making it difficult for this match to be held in the US, UAE opened its doors up to host the event. UAE has also become a premier sporting destination amid the epidemic and hosted multiple UFC pay-per-view cards featuring some of the biggest stars in MMA such as Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Israel Adesanya.
The two arm-wrestling supergiants previously clashed against one another when they battled in the first round of the Heavyweight Championship at WAL 406 in September 2018. The game rolled into the fifth round and it was Todd who was able to overpower Larratt to secure a 3-2 win.
