Following recent acquisitions, WarnerMedia and Discovery are now known as Warner Bros. Discovery. This new company is holding its presentation in New York City this week, though there weren’t any representatives from All Elite Wrestling during the presentation. Some have found it concerning that they will continue to be partners with AEW following the merger but according to Tony Khan, there’s nothing to worry about yet.
Want To Know More About: AEW
During a recent Sports Media Podcast interview, AEW president Cody Rhodes disclosed that Warner Brothers/Discovery had been announced to be attending one of their upcoming Shiny in the USA shows.
“I’m very excited because we’re at [The Kia Forum arena in Inglewood, California] next week, and I’m really just honored, and it’s a great privilege for us because a lot of the top executives from Warner Bros. Discovery are going to be at The Forum,” Khan said. “They’re throwing a great event for us afterward in The Forum … with a lot of the people in AEW, and we’re going to hang out, and that means the world to us, getting to know each other better.”
What the future holds for AEW after the merger, and what happens on June 1, our first live event in LA, remains to be seen.
