Eddie Hall, the 2018 Arnold Strongman World Champion, has expressed his thoughts on Hafthor Bjornsson’s upcoming fight against Devon Larratt.
The Beast’ was supposed to be participating in the event but unfortunately was forced to pull out after tearing his bicep during light sparring, which meant the former World’s Strongest Man had to step aside for Larratt to fill his shoes.
Hall said that a “lazy hooking” partly led to the injury.
Larratt challenged Thor to an MMA fight, which Thor accepted. As a result, Thor won against Larratt in the match taking place in Las Vegas.
Hall had been quiet about the fight in particular but has now spoken out about his thoughts on both Bjornsson and Larratt’s respective performances.
Eddie Hall, who fought Thor Bjornsson in a boxing ring, said that Bjornsson “backed off” every time he landed a combination of punches. He added that the fight was like a “tickle on his own gym” due to how few blows each fighter landed. He is disappointed in Thor’s performance, watching nine of his punches land and five from Larratt be caught.
“Thor – I’m coming for you, mate. After watching this, I’m definitely going to be having some better sleep at night after seeing that, that’s for sure! Confidence is through the roof!”
