She is best known for appearing in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based promotion Her Extreme Her Championship Her Wrestling from October 1999 until her April 2001 closure.

Rivera made her NXT debut in 2018, losing to Lacey Evans on November 14th.
Rivera returned to Smackdown Live the following year on April 9, 2019. Throughout the show, she was known only as Carissa, competing with Chris Statlander (known simply as Chris) as one half of the local tag team Brooklyn Bells. They lost to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Team IIconics in a tag team match. Rivera played Bobby Lashley’s “ex-wife” on her RAW broadcast on WWE Monday Night.
