Welcome to another episode of the daily WWE News Roundup, where we try to bring you the most interesting stories from the world of sports entertainment. Today’s show is about big names like Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens, who were all WWE champions.
Since becoming the head booker of NXT, Shawn Michaels has done a great job. But the HeartBreak Kid made it clear that he no longer wants to go back into the ring. After losing to The Undertaker at WWE’s WrestleMania 26, he gave up wrestling for good. He had one more match after that, though.
#1: Shawn Michaels, a WWE star, says he won’t be back in the ring.
Shawn Michaels, a WWE Hall of Famer, was asked in a recent interview if, in the right situation, he would go back into the ring for one more match. The famous superstar said he no longer thinks about coming back. Instead, he wants to help young players in the developmental brand.
‘No, I absolutely don’t think about that at all anymore. I’m so enamored and enjoy helping these young men and women come through NXT. I’ve had my time in the sun. I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it, but I so thoroughly enjoy being able to help them and allow them to have the same opportunities that I had,” said Michaels.

The Showstopper came out of retirement on November 2, 2018, to take part in a single match at the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia. He teamed up with his fellow DX member Triple H, and the two of them beat The Brothers of Destruction, who were The Undertaker and Kane. Reports say that Shawn made $3 million for taking part in this match.
#2: Randy Orton breaks his social media silence
Randy “The Viper” Orton hasn’t been seen much since May of last year, when he stopped wrestling. The former WWE Champion had major back injuries that have kept him out of action. He hasn’t been very busy on social media either, but after his wife Kim Orton posted a picture, he spoke up to praise her.
”It’s something I’ve been able to watch you do from afar, and I always just smile when I see you out there workin in the garden. I’m lucky to have a gardener for a wife,” said Orton.
It’s been more than a year since The Viper and Matt Riddle wrestled in the ring with The Usos to unify their tag titles. The Bloodline attacked the good guys after the match, which was the kayfabe reason for Orton’s absence from WWE television. In fact, Orton had to take time off because his back injuries required surgery.
#3: Vince Russo gives Kevin Owens high marks.
This week, RAW started with Judgement Day and the announcement that Dominik Mysterio is the new NXT North American Champion. As soon as he took the microphone, the loud boos of the crowd drowned out his words.

Later, Sami and KO showed up and told the new champion that he needs to protect his title in a singles match that night. Vince Russo thanked Owens for pointing out that the start of RAW was similar to the start of RAW the week before:
“I swear to God, I’m glad that Kevin Owens explained, ‘yeah, bro, we had this exact open last week.’ For a minute, ‘I’m like, is this a rerun?’ They did this exact same thing last week. I thank Kevin Owens for acknowledging that. Yeah bro, completely same opening as last week,” said Russo.
Later in the show, Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio’s feud took a nasty turn when Priest and Ripley beat Kevin Owens up badly backstage, hurting The Prizefighter. The tag team championships are still up in the air, since Owens is one of the winners but is out with an injury.
