Within the vast landscape of WWE championships, the hierarchy is well-defined, with two titles reigning supreme: the World Heavyweight Championship on RAW and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on SmackDown. However, Seth Rollins, the current World Heavyweight Champion, has cast a critical eye on his former ally, Roman Reigns, who holds the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, suggesting that Reigns might be overshadowing the title itself.
Both Rollins and Reigns embarked on their WWE journeys together in 2012 as part of the formidable faction, The Shield. However, their paths diverged dramatically in 2016 when Rollins launched a shocking attack on Reigns, leading to a bitter and sporadic rivalry. Drafted to separate brands, both superstars have ascended to the pinnacle of their respective rosters, each wielding the main championship.
In a recent appearance on the podcast “After The Bell,” Rollins shared his perspective on Reigns’ representation of the title. He expressed, “I feel like we’ve done a really good job, as far as the World Heavyweight Championship is concerned… The one thing that I think doesn’t get talked about or I think flies under the radar a little bit… the actual visibility of the championships. It almost feels like Roman Reigns is the championship as opposed to Roman Reigns is the champion.”
Rollins went on to emphasize that he, in contrast, diligently represents the World Heavyweight Championship week after week, stating, “Whereas Seth Rollins is wearing the world heavyweight championship belt, I’m representing the world heavyweight championship. The work never ends, man.”

Despite their once close friendship, Rollins didn’t hold back his candid assessment of Reigns’ championship representation. And it’s worth noting that Rollins has a point, as he will soon be defending his title at Payback, whereas Reigns currently lacks a scheduled match for the event.
The ongoing feud between Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura has been brewing for a month now. It all began when Rollins, Nakamura, and Cody Rhodes took on The Judgement Day on RAW. Following their victory, Nakamura stunned the WWE Universe by delivering a devastating Kinshasa to Rollins. This brutal act left fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter of their rivalry.
In response to Nakamura’s attack, Rollins approached him the following week, offering a title shot at Payback to settle their differences. However, Nakamura didn’t pass up the opportunity to make another statement, launching another Kinshasa on Rollins before exiting the ring.
