Boxing went out in the 2020s just when it seemed it couldn’t get any weirder.
A poster has been released today (Mon., March 13, 2023), displaying a match for one of JJ “KSI” Olatunji’s Misfit Boxing tag team matches. It wasn’t just a random pairing in terms of star power, as the match featured KSI paired with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather against Manny Pacquiao and famous TikToker Busta “Salt Papi” Breezie.
Misfits representative and KSI;s manager, Proper Loud Music. He confirmed the match is indeed on.
“Money’s” 2023 “heist” exhibition boxing tour will include five matches in five different countries, including the United States, Japan, Germany, Australia, and South Korea.
The legend has insisted he will not face any boxers or world champions in the future. He did not specify what type of match those would be (such as tag team matches) or who the opponents would be.
Rivalry:
Pacquiao and Mayweather faced each other as professionals in May 2015, and Mayweather won by unanimous decision. Since then, Pacquiao has followed his old rival into exhibition boxing, boxing three times in 2022, defeating DK Yoo in December (watch highlights).
As a result, Pacquiao and RIZIN Fighting Federation agreed that Pacquiao would compete in Japan in the future.
