WWE has always had popular stars who have helped move the company forwards for decades. Even though these top stars are important because of their popularity, other fighters who have been working for a long time are just as important.
Sheamus, who used to be the World Champion, is such a big name. Now, the Celtic Warrior has beaten John Cena for the second time in 14 years. This is a very impressive feat.

Even though it seems unlikely that Sheamus could beat Kane, it’s not impossible because of how fit he stays. If he keeps playing matches for a few more years, the four-time world winner could end up in the top three.
It’s interesting that Sheamus has already beaten Cena once before. In 2009, the 45-year-old wrestler won his first WWE Championship by beating the 16-time world champion in a table match.

In 2009, Sheamus made a great start in ECW. Four months later, he did the same in Raw. At the TLC PLE, he quickly won a Battle Royale to become the No. 1 contender for Cena’s WWE Championship.

Even though he wasn’t the favourite going into the match, Sheamus shocked everyone by beating John Cena and sending him through the table to win his first WWE Championship.
This was a historic win because he was the first person from Ireland to win the WWE title. He did so in just 166 days after joining WWE, which is the third-fastest time to win the biggest crown in sports entertainment.
Sheamus also won the 2009 Slammy Award for Breakout Superstar of the Year, which put him in the main event of his career. How do you feel about Sheamus’s big step? Tell us what you think in the area below.
