Next on Jake Paul’s list is Hasim Rahman Jr., Dana White’s latest opponent, who vowed to slap the UFC President.
In a final attempt to end their feud, Paul was scheduled to fight British boxing champion Tommy Fury, but the match was called off after Fury was denied entry into the US. Rahman Jr., a professional boxer with a record of 12 wins and one loss, has taken Fury’s place on YouTube’s star.
During a press conference, White criticized Paul’s opponent’s choice in scheduling, saying “his opponent just got knocked out–why not go after the guy who knocked him out?”
Rahman Jr. responded to DAZN Boxing, telling them: “I wasn’t knocked out as I was stopped, so Dana White can put anyone else in there with me, like Francis Ngannou and if he did, then I would still win.” Rahman Jr. believes that Dana White knows this and ultimately wouldn’t give him any of his fighters; therefore, a victory in the cage would come.
“There’s no way fighters should be taking on boxers, but Dana White wants to do it anyway. He doesn’t even know me, and he’s speaking about me; but Dana will get slapped by me if he dares talk like that.”
Paul and White have been in a heated feud for several months. Paul has frequently voiced his opinions about the UFC, such as fighter compensation and healthcare. The UFC‘s best fighters, including Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, are being courted by YouTube celebrities to take on him in the boxing ring.
