Lesnar went off-script when the wrestler smashed his pod in the Chamber match, and he was able to win his first WWE Title after Bobby Lashley was taken out of the match because of the injury. Lesnar continued to dominate the other competitors, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Riddle, and Austin Theory.
WWE had already removed Lashley from the match due to the injury angle. Which saw Rollins Buckle The Bomb Theory through his ring. The timer sounded to signal Lashley’s entry and the plan was that his pod could open for him to enter when the time came for him to go in. However, he was not there. Lesnar was aware that Lashley was scheduled to be eliminated from this match. However, did not realize that the signal was sent that Lashley’s pod was to be opened.
It was reported that Lesnar thought he was next. However, he was aware that WWE was short on time had a hard-out for when the show had to be over. Lesnar believed that Lashley’s opening was a mistake and that his pod was supposed to be open, and he smashed out of his pod and then entered the fight.
The other contestants may have known they would have rushed to the finishing. They still had spots to complete before when Lesnar entered; however, they also knew that once Lesnar arrived, it was the time to be defeated. They might have realized that things were done in a hurry, as they’d likely speed up the process. If Lesnar could have waited just an extra few minutes, everyone would not have been eliminated.
Lesnar won The WWE Title and will now take on Roman Reigns in the Winner Takes All match at WrestleMania 38.
Lashley has been suffering from shoulder injuries since the Royal Rumble win over Lesnar. The rumor is that he will be out for 4 months. He had a meeting with WWE medical professionals at Birmingham Alabama earlier this week, but there’s no information on what is finalized. WWE blames Lashley’s absence on the possibility of a concussion he sustained in the Elimination Chamber match.
