A brand-new wrestling promotion’s first show was abruptly canceled after just a few weeks of advertising.
WrestlingEntertainment Series, also known as WES, is a promotion owned by The Authors of Pain (Gzim Selmani & Sunny Dhinsa) which announced its first show on May 13. The ambitious plan would see the duo book Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England host that particular event with an exclusive pay-per-view broadcast. WES describes itself as being “the future of sports entertainment”.
Last night, FITE claimed on Twitter that this weekend’s events were still on for IMPACT Wrestling’s Chelsea Green. She responded by saying that the event had been canceled.
Actually it’s cancelled.

The card for this fight pits Adam “The Titan” Scher, formerly known as Braun Strowman, against mixed martial artist Alistair Overeem in the main event for the World Championship.
The first match of the night is for the WES Women’s Championship, with Lina Fanene (Nia Jax) and CJ Perry (Lana) returning to WWE for the first time since leaving Vince McMahon last year.
The Authors of Pain, also known as The Legion of Pain, will make a return to the ring and reunite with Paul Ellering. They were NXT’s Tag Team Champions in 2017 so mark your calendars for their match this Sunday.
IMPACT Wrestling has announced the complete roster for their debut in Los Angeles. Names such as Killer Kross, two-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, JONAH, Tenille Dashwood, Madison Rayne, and Fandango will be competing. Former “Raw” commentator Jonathan Coachman and current IMPACT Wrestling broadcaster Matt Rehwoldt are also booked to call the show.
On Thursday, Wrestling Entertainment Series released their launch press release, which revealed that for the remainder of 2022, they had announced dates all across Europe and in the Middle East.
