WWE will be hosting the Elimination Chamber premium live event this Saturday, on Peacock. The event will take place within Saudi Arabia, which always creates a different atmosphere. There are plenty of Wrestlemania-building matches on the card. The fans have been talking lots about what’s going on at the time of the two World Championships that WWE has scheduled for the year.
Significant surprises haven’t been discussed with fans. There are a few surprises that can be expected from the Elimination Chamber even though it is close to WrestleMania. It could be in the shape of an angle that could aid in preparing an event between champions with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at Mania.
I was told twist and turns coming on this show, so I don’t know what those would be. I know that there was a push to do title vs title which means Brock wins the Chamber and Roman beats Goldberg. I think most people kind of are expecting that. For Brock to lose in the Chamber match, I mean, I don’t know how you beat him, because again, it’s like, they haven’t done a lot of interference in Chamber matches. I suppose you can do it this time, but it would have to take that.
I don’t see, like, someone scoring a fall on Brock Lesnar. It makes no sense at all to do that building up Mania because the whole idea of Mania has been to maximize Reigns and maximize Lesnar and make them the two biggest stars and protect them completely. Granted, Lesnar did lose to Bobby Lashley, but that was Roman’s doing. It was very clear watching the match that that was the situation, but they could get the revenge back.
Dave Meltzer talked about how WWE could handle the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio. It’s not sensible to let Brock Lesnar lose in the Elimination Chamber match, without some kind of tomfoolery. This means that he’s likely to be eliminated from the stage with the title of WWE Champion. If Reigns holds this title Universal Championship against Goldberg, the champion vs champion battle will be scheduled.
We’ll be watching to see what WWE decides to schedule the Elimination Chamber. Whatever the outcome this weekend, it will be a crucial moment in the run-up towards WrestleMania 38. There are likely to be some unexpected twists as WWE travels towards Saudia Arabia this weekend.
