Although two “NXT” events were scheduled to take place later this week in Florida, circumstances have caused them to be rescheduled. Hurricane Ian was bearing down on the state.

The “NXT” house events schedule for the University Area Community Complex in Tampa on September 30 and the Dade City Armory in Dade City on October 1. WWE has moved these dates to December 17 for the Tampa show and November 11 for the Dade City show. WWE will honor previously purchased tickets for the new dates.

AEW‘s CEO Tony Khan shares on social media to instruct his roster not to travel through Hurricane Michael as it will be unsafe for our athletes.

“For everyone in @AEW, in case you missed our email, anyone worried about Hurricane Ian affecting your travel or home or your family life, it’s voluntary to come to tv this week,” Khan wrote. “Anyone affected by the hurricane can take care of business at home. & we hope to see you all next week.”

The National Hurricane Center forecasts Hurricane Ian will reach the southern tip of Florida some time Wednesday night. By Thursday, the storm forecasts to continue moving northward to impact Alabama. Georgia and South Carolina according to an Axios report. As of right now, Hurricane Ian has reached Category 4 strength on a scale from 1-5. Three Florida airports announced closures today, including Tampa International Airport, St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, and Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.
