The Sacrifice show will see The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay) defend the straps from the Influence (Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne).
In January, this event was initially planned as part of The Hard To Kill pay-per-view. However, it was removed from the show because one of the contestants was close to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19. The match was later rescheduled in late January; however, Dashwood was removed from tapings for unknown reasons. The inspiration was able to defend in a game against Rayne And Kaleb By using AK instead.
Impact Wrestling has announced that the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships will be up for grabs at Sacrifice in March.
The inspiration was awarded the titles when they first debuted in Impact during Bound for Glory in October. They did this after beating Havok as well as Rosemary. Since then, they’ve been able to defend the title only once in their history, and that was when they were able to retain their title in the face of Havok and Rosemary in a rematch on Turning Point in November. Lee has only wrestled five matches since her debut with Impact as well as McKay has wrestled in six matches in an individual loss in a single match against Dashwood on the 16th of December Impact episode. The five other matches are the two title matches with Havok and Rosemary and a win against Brandi Lauren and Kimber Lee during October. A loss of eight to The Inspiration The Decay in December and a win against Rayne and Kaleb during January.
The Impact 2022 Sacrifice event is scheduled to be held on the weekend of the 5th of March at Old Forester’s Paris town Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. It will be broadcast live via Impact Plus and YouTube for Ultimate Insiders.
