A new report from Fightful Select reveals the Roman Reigns schedule and Reigns does not seem to be competing with WWE Money In The Bank. Much concern has been raised about the Roman Empire’s schedule as the undisputed WWE Universal Championship missed its second WWE Premium Live Event and defended WWE’s top three titles in a row.
Reigns was reportedly blocked away from Money In The Bank, where the event is still being held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Officials believed that Money in the Bank Ladder Match would sell the event on its own. It is also said that the presence of the Reigns and Undisputed Title was considered less important after the event was moved to the very small MGM Grand Garden Arena. This will be the next possible place to defend the Reigns title at the WWE SummerSlam in Nashville, Tennessee on July 30.
A recent Fightful Report revealed that WWE representatives he spoke to had told them they were still waiting for the SummerSlam competition. Reigns holds the WWE Universal Championship record for 645 days from August 30, 2020.
He then won the WWE Championship title on April 3, when he defeated Brock Lesnar. He holds the combined title for 67 days and has never defended it on television or in major live events. At SummerSlam, it has been 119 days since Reigns defended one of WWE’s top titles in WWE programs.
Reigns has defended the title against Drew McIntyre at several WWE live events, but this is outside the WWE television story. Reigns recently signed a new contract with WWE. This will give him a few days off and he will no longer be seen at WWE live events.
Is Roman Reigns still expected to compete in the WWE SummerSlam?
