Jake Something began wrestling in 2014. He wrestled on a few occasions with Impact in 2017 and 2018. However, he joined the company in the year 2019. He was earlier identified as Cousin Jake from The Dealers, with Cody Deaner and Cody Deaner. But later he changed his name as a ringman Jake Something in early 2021. Jake has also played indie shows while signed to Impact.

Jake posted on Twitter today to announce that he is now a fully-fledged free agent. This follows his loss against Impact X Division Champion Trey Miguel in the Sacrifice tournament on Saturday. He wrote:
I am officially a free agent. So here is my official statement on the subject: I’m just getting started.
Jake acknowledged Impact executive vice president Scott D’Amore and the company in an additional tweet. He added:
Thank you to @IMPACTWRESTLING and @ScottDAmore for taking the chance on me, and helping me learn and grow so much. Much love to the entire locker room, a true family
It was reported in mid-January that Jake Something was set to become a free agent. Because his contract was supposed to expire on the 28th of February. However, he had one outstanding date and that was Sacrifice. Jake did not work Sunday’s Impact TV tapings.
The news was announced after Sacrifice, Jake was released from his Impact campaign on good terms and was likely to return. It was also mentioned that this decision is not necessarily the end of two parties working together, if they agree on a deal soon.
There’s no confirmation yet whether AEW, WWE, or NJPW may be interested in Jake; however, we’ll keep you informed. You can check out his complete tweets here:
