It looks like the beef between Khamzat Chimaev and Abubakar Nurmagomedov is coming to a close and will not last much longer.
As if the beef wasn’t already shocking enough, it appears Kadyrov had a change of heart. His comments on social media suggest that this is the first time he’s spoken out about Dzhamaliev publicly.
After witnessing the UFC 280 lightweight title main event between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira, Chimaev Nurmagomedov was cageside to witness his teammate, Islam Makhachev, take home the win.
Nurmagomedov allegedly began delivering kicks to the grounded Chimaev. As Nurmagomedov continued to chase and beat him, he delivered a hard outside hook to Chimaev’s temple and took him across the octagon, but Chimaev was able to get back up from the mat.
The situation got physical on the sidelines and multiple security incidents took place. After the event, UFC president Dana White chalked it up to just a thing that happens when fighters are involved.
Despite allegations of a disagreement between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Abubakar Nurmagomedov, Abubakar has recently posted an Instagram video of Khabib in which he said that the dispute is now water under the bridge.

The translation, in part, says it was “a small misunderstanding that took place personally between me and Khlamzat. After that, we met with him in the Brotherhood circle, where we were gathered by the elders. As I said in an interview before my fight, Khlamzat is my brother in Faith and I always wish him health and success. I ask you, brothers, not to invent any kind of gossip and I hope our meeting will be beneficial between our brotherly peoples.”
As the MMA community starts to come together and collaborate on social media more and more, Kadyrov was seen as a peacemaker in this case as he helped mediate between Chimaev and Nurmagomedov.
