After Jeff Hardy crashed his vehicle, fans are questioning whether Matt Hardy is sober and if he should be booked for DUI as well.
Matt responded to a tweet on Tuesday afternoon from former WWE/WCW wrestler and WWE Performance Center trainer Bill DeMott, who agreed with a fan that suggested the next day was when Matt’s brother Jeff was arrested.
“Understand your passion on this & agree that DD is unacceptable,” Hardy tweeted. “I expect speculation from fans, but not you. I haven’t touched a drug in over a decade, haven’t drank since I’ve been a Dad. Saw Jeff last on Sunday night & flew (home) early Monday w/Reby. I can’t be with Jeff every minute.”

DeMott tweeted a comment about Matt Hardy, but Reby Hardy responded in a more aggressive manner, then deleted her tweet.
Fucking dickhead

He has often commented on the matter of drunk driving since the tragic death of his daughter and demonized wrestlers who have committed DUIs. Tammy Sytch, who crashed her car into a man, was arrested for DUI Manslaughter.
Hardy had his own problems with drugs, and alcohol, and was arrested in 2014. He was arrested multiple times in 2011 for DUI and drug offenses. He returned again to jail days later in 2011 for possession of anabolic steroids. He and his wife were arrested in 2014 after Hardy allegedly assaulted his wife, but he has not been arrested for drug or alcohol use since then.
Matt Hardy dropped Jeff Hardy off at his hotel room after the two attended a wrestling convention following a performance from Jeff Hardy. Matt and Reby then flew home back to North Carolina.
