The fallout from Hell in the Cell has not yet occurred, but it is almost time for the next WWE pay-per-view, Money in the Bank, which takes place on July 2.
A card is a card-shaped object that is used to play a card game. Only one match has been announced for the card so far.
With predictions ahead of the card, now is a good time to see what the WWE card could look like before they head to MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Raw Women’s Championship, Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley:
Rhea Ripley defeated Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, and Della DuDop at Money in the Bank to earn a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship.
After Finn Balor joined her, she won the main event of that show by defeating Damian Priest and the feud between Edge and his crew. With continued momentum, The Nightmare has been on a winning streak in some time.
Ripley’s newfound confidence and grittier edge should serve her well, but beating Bianca Belair won’t be an easy task. The EST of WWE has the title for a reason and isn’t going to let go of it without a fight.
Belair is favored to retain, but Ripley might not be out of reach yet.
Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Roman Reigns vs Riddle:
Riddle has been involved in a feud with The Usos since just after WrestleMania 38, while the majority of the dispute surrounding it was over The Usos taking on Riddle and Randy Orton.
Instead of focusing on Raw Tag Team Championships, Randy Orton’s injured, and his effort to win the belts back with Shinsuke Nakamura being a failed one, Randy focused on Roman Reigns.
On Monday’s Raw, Riddle made a promo about how he is going after The Tribal Chief, and how he wants an opportunity to fight him for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
WWE has yet to be given an answer by Reigns, but they rarely bypass challenges as they are placed. If Reigns is going to appear on this card, it will be in a match against Riddle.
Most people expect Reigns to hold the titles until at least WrestleMania 39, and a dream match against The Rock. Drew McIntyre has already called his shot for Clash of the Champions on September 3rd, and the belt seems to be going nowhere.
If Riddle does get a shot, though, maybe Orton will return in time for a follow-up opportunity against Reigns at SummerSlam on July 30.
WWE Tag Team Championship, The Usos vs The Street Profits:
Even though The Usos beat them out of the ring in a Champion’s Contender’s Match on Raw, The Street Profits are still a contender for the unified tag team titles.
There is no stopping WWE from having this contest on Raw or SmackDown in the coming weeks, but title matches and pay-per-views are supposed to be special, so it makes sense to put this match on the bigger stage.
Talent such as the Uso’s and Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins will likely have singles matches over the next few weeks to build hype.
However, The Usos will be the favorites to retain based on their recent successes.
United States Championship Theory vs Bobby Lashley:
With his recent actions, Theory cost Bobby Lashley the opportunity to promote but now he sits squarely in The All Mighty’s sights.
Lashley has challenged Theory to put the title up against him, perhaps out of frustration that he could have moved on from their feud in any number of other directions.
The title of Intercontinental champion went back to the person who holds it every Monday night on television for the WWE. Mustafa Ali lost to The Miz on PPV which is not a common occurrence.
WWE scheduled an event for the 24-year-old and Lashley because of the dramatic storyline happening with both men.
Don’t be surprised if Theory manages to find a way to retain, by hook or by crook.
SmackDown Women’s Championship Ronda Rousey vs Natalya:
Natalya won Friday night’s SmackDown to earn herself a shot at the SmackDown Women’s title.
At the time, WWE only specified that their match against titleholder Ronda Rousey would happen in the future, rather than saying it would happen at Money In The Bank.
Rousey has a few more years at least before she sees the WWE again. She is just a stepping stone on the way to WrestleMania 39.
The betting odds of Ronda retaining vs. Natalya’s lack of major WWE experience are in favor of Ronda.
Money in the Bank Ladder Matches:
Of course, the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches were this event’s headline.
A preview of the upcoming Raw vs. SmackDown match
Women Money in the Bank Ladder Match
There are going to be a lot of potential candidates on Raw. Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss are definitely in contention for the Women’s Championship even though Liv Morgan or Carmella could also win it. However, Lacey Evans, Shayna Baszler (with Charlotte), Raquel Rodriguez, and Aliyah might also be in the running for SmackDown’s Women’s Championship.
Men Money in the Bank Ladder Match
For the men’s match, it is hard to narrow down possible contenders. For example, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, and Ezekiel are among the potential names. Other possible SmackDown superstars include The Miz, Ciampa, and Seth Rollins. Other potential Raw superstars could be Madcap Moss, Drew McIntyre, and Sami Zayn.
