The most anticipated cage match between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg has taken a new turn. The cage fight between Mark Zuckerberg and the owner of Twitter was reportedly called off on Sunday. He stated that he will “focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously” in a thread on Threads.
“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead,” he said in the post. Mark’s post did not go down well with Musk. Taking to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Musk threw some jabs at his tech rival. Zuck is a chicken,” Musk posted.

Musk responded to a comment on X suggesting that Zuckerberg was “trying to chicken out” in the fight against him by saying, “He can’t eat at chic fil because that would be cannibalism.”
Musk responded to a different user by saying, “Can’t wait to bang on his door tomorrow.”
According to Variety, a series of back-and-forth texts between the CEOs of Meta and X/Twitter originally generated discussions about a prospective cage match in the style of mixed martial arts. I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” Musk posted in response to a discussion on Twitter from June 20. This statement started the conversation.
Musk recently announced on his social media accounts that the “Zuck v Musk fight” would be live-streamed via X, with all proceeds going to charity. In a sly jab at X/Twitter, Zuckerberg responded to Musk when he said on Threads, “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”
