Last year, there were rumors that the WWE had a plan for Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble. Those rumors ended up being true when the company announced that KO would face Reigns in a match for the WWE Universal Championship. Now, sources have told wrestlingnews365.com that plans are shifting somewhat and instead of KO going against Sheamus, they’ll be defending their honor against Zayn. So not only will they be challenging The Usos for the World Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania, but they’ll also be wrestling either Aiden English or American Alpha.
It was recently revealed that Sami Zayn will face Roman Reigns in a singles match at the upcoming Royal Rumble, but everything is up in the air until we find out more about what’s going to happen during the February Elimination Chamber pay-per-view at one of Zayn’s last dates before returning home to Montreal, Quebec.
As previously noted, there are no plans for Reigns to vacate his title before WrestleMania.
