NWA

NWA is a professional wrestling promotion founded in 1948. It was one of the first professional wrestling promotions in the United States. NWA has been described as “The world’s first major independent wrestling company”.

In 2001, it was purchased by Vince McMahon’s World Bodybuilding Federation (WBF) and subsequently merged with his company World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Today, NWA operates as a subsidiary of WWE.
