There were 88 entries in the Northwestern Twistmasters Arm Wrestling Clubs tournament across 30 different categories, including youth, masters, and professional.
Young guns Waylon and Porter McAllister from Sexsmith, along with Matthew Marginet from Rycroft, won numerous youth and novice men classes at the tournament, finishing in the top three. The Mcallisters and Marginet are following in their competitive arm wrestling parents’ footsteps.
Gary McDonald competed in the Pro Men’s 176lb division, where Brian Marginet placed first and second, and McDonald placed top three in the Master Men’s under 200 division.
Cory McAllister, Sean McCallum, Josh Bellin, Maria Peterson, Dallas Bjornson, and Jonathan Mercer all took home hardware after topping their respective classes at the Prairie Mall tournament.
