Then, in January of 2021, WWE and NBC Universal announced that WWE Network would migrate over to Peacock. Then, in April of 2021, WWE Network and Peacock officially joined, with archived and live footage being aired on the streaming platform.
In October 2021, Kelly Campbell became the President of Peacock.
When speaking to Josef Adalian of Vulture, Campbell commented on WWE’s agreement with Vulture. She explained:
WWE has been a wildly productive partnership with Peacock since its inception. We have invested in a vast fan base that gives us the chance to keep those fans returning each time through the enormous live events of the WWE franchise. We are currently hosting WrestleMania coming back on April 3rd. This is already one of the most significant Live events throughout the entire year. There’s also a new series that I’m incredibly excited about that will feature John Cena coming later this year. It’s titled WWE Evil. There will be a great new approach to the arena for our audience.
