A trailblazer from an earlier period fought against the benchmark of women’s wrestling in the present as Lita was matched against Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in one of the main matches of the evening.
The veteran outwitted and shook off an insecure Lynch at first but Big Time Becks turned the tide to her favour by hanging at the very top of the rope. The opponent hit Lynch into the table of commentary however Lynch was able to hang her opponent on the ropes twice during the contest. Lita took to the stage with Stratusphere to honor her the best friend Trish Stratus but she was unable to not hold Lynch down.
Big Time Becks regrouped and slapped the armbar, however Lita took it on. The champion then transitioned to Manhandle Slam. Manhandle Slam but Lita draped her foot over the rope at the bottom to break the count. A few seconds later, Lynch mocked Lita’s moonsault but failed to make a splash.
The challenger did her signature Twist of Fate, followed by her signature moonsault but she was unable to score the most dramatic close-fall. The surprise of the kick-out opened Lita to a second Manhandle Slam as Lynch narrowly held onto her title.
